Matrix have put Kevin’s full C drive onto back up remote, with links to remote Outlook email, calendar and contacts allowing his PA to see everything and transfer to Kevin’s Palm handheld when he is overseas. “This makes life much easier when I’m traveling. I can access the network using my Palm, and my PA can see everything I do regardless of where I am in the world, including adding appointments into my diary”.

Another reason Kevin chose a hosting solution from Matrix was for the backup of his network. Kevin was previously conducting a tape backup himself – a system previously set up by Matrix. However, the tape capacity could no longer hold all the data, so an alternative was required. Now all KGIBD data is stored on a secure server.

KGIBD has also found that Matrix Solutions have required less site visits since implementing a hosted solution.
